Sometimes things work out so perfectly, that you couldn’t have planned it any better if you tried! That is the case when friends and neighbors in Broadview decided it was time to downsize and moved to Trilogy in Redmond. Sandy and Maribeth were the first to decide to move to Trilogy and found a very sweet, perfectly sized home near the club house.
Cindy’s goal was to remain walking distance to her friends. Trilogy is a pretty large community. We assumed it would be quite a while before a home within walking distance would come on the market. But luck was on our side. The sellers of the home for Sandy and Maribeth hosted a happy hour for them prior to closing so that they could meet all of their new neighbors. I asked them to ask around to see if any of their new neighbors knew of someone who might be thinking of selling. They learned that one of the neighbors had moved a few months ago to California to be closer to family. The neighbors assumed that this home would eventually be coming on the market, but no one knew when and didn’t offer up contact information for the people who had moved.
This is the part of the story that makes you want to believe in things being meant to be. On one of our trips to Trilogy, we drove past the home that we thought was the one that was vacant. We were surprised to see people coming out of the home. Never one to be shy, I introduced Cindy and myself and explained what we had heard from neighbors. The lovely young woman we were talking with was the daughter of the owners of the home. They were planning on selling but hadn’t planned to right away. Long story short, the Sellers loved our story of friends wanting to live near each other and were very receptive to selling the home to Cindy. The ladies couldn’t have planned anything better. While they live on different streets, there yards boarder each other’s. They plan on installing a gate for easy access.
Fast forward a month, everyone is moved in and they have all been enjoying life at Trilogy. The restaurant at the club house has Happy Hour most evenings and has been a great way for them to meet the neighbors. They are also looking forward to the different social groups to join – such as book clubs, knitting club, cooking classes and more. Maribeth and Zoey the dog have been enjoying miles of walking trails. Life is good at Trilogy!
