We first met with this Seller in June 2021. She was about 80% through a very extensive remodeling project that included adding a second story addition. We helped her find additional resources so that she could finish this several year-long project. It was really fun to be on that journey with her for the completion of the last 20%. We thought the home would be completed by the end of September for an early October list date. But as with most projects, things came up which delayed the completion. Steve and I, but mostly Steve, visited the site several times. Often, our visits were for emotional support for our Seller, or guiding her on final finish choices. She has great taste, so frequently we were just validating with what she had already chosen. In the final month of the project, I checked in with her twice a week. Again, this was mostly for moral support as she approached the final home stretch. At the end, she was exhausted, relieved, and excited when the home was ready for our staging company to turn this house into a home for the next Buyer to love for years to come. Once listed, people loved the home. Steve held the home open that first weekend. It was really rewarding and validating for our Seller to hear all of the lovely comments that Buyers made to Steve about the home. We closed at the end of January. We’re excited for both the Buyers and the Seller for each of their next chapters.
