We’ve said this before, but it’s true every time. Working with first time home buyers is so rewarding! It is an honor to be there at the beginning of someone’s quest for homeownership and help guide them along the way. We first met Ben and Lara in January 2021. It was right in the middle of Covid, so of course our first meeting was on Zoom. It was easy to like them right away. They both have very open and friendly personalities. This first meeting was very preliminary. They were still in the process of saving funds and hadn’t gotten pre-approved yet. They really just wanted to connect with someone and get an idea of the process. We didn’t actually start house-hunting until January 2022.
The beginning of 2022 was brutal for Buyers, especially Buyers would couldn’t waive everything, release earnest money and promise their first born child! But Ben and Lara persevered and even though we lost out on several offers, they still maintained a great, positive attitude. They didn’t get discouraged. They always knew “their home” was out there. When the market started to soften, they finally had the opportunity to put in a successful offer. The home they bought is perfect for them! It is in the neighborhood they currently lived in and really wanted to stay in. It has fabulous outdoor space, raised beds for gardening and is fully fenced for their little dog. It’s been an 18 month journey to homeownership. We are thrilled that we were able to travel that road with them and we couldn’t be more proud of and happy for them! Congratulations again Ben & Lara – you 100% deserve this!
