In NW Seattle, new listings were up nearly 64% over the previous week, but up only about 12% for the past two weeks combined. Homes going under contract were up substantially in both NW Seattle and SW Snohomish County, showing that despite the rising interest rates, buyers are still out in force!
The sold price per sq/ft was down 5% in NW Seattle over the previous two-week period. Weekly prices fluctuate, so this is not a concern. Sellers in SW Snohomish County saw a rise of nearly 11% in their price per sq/ft this past two weeks. Again, prices fluctuate week to week. The overall trend is that prices are rising
Interest rates are creeping back up to 7%. So far, this hasn’t dampened the market. Fingers crossed, they start to go back down again soon!
