Homes going under contract were down by 21% for the past two weeks in NW Seattle. This is most likely just a short-term blip since the previous two weeks saw a 31% jump in homes going under contract. The number of homes going under contract for the past two weeks is in line with the average trend for the year. At this point, we don’t think this is a cause for concern. All other data points for NW Seattle are up.
Southwest Snohomish held steady over the past two weeks. They did see a decline in the sold price per sq/ft, but again not anything to be concerned about.
Interest rates continue to slowly come back down and have been below 7% throughout May.
