Meet Lola!
This kitty is not at the shelter, but is waiting patiently in a foster home to meet you.
Lola is 18 years old. She loves laying on warm laps and she’d appreciate a small stool to help her get up on the couch to curl up for a long nap. She plays occasionally with strings and scratching boards. She uses her litter box like a champ.
Lola has 2-3 kidney disease. She’s on prescription wet food, and she gives her tail a little wiggle to show she’s excited to eat. Lola sometimes yowls to say “I miss you” or “I just went to my litter box” in the morning.
Lola has a lot of peculiarities that come with being older. On the other hand, her mature age offers a lot of things other cats don’t – She doesn’t jump on countertops, doesn’t hide from company, and she can still use the stairs (her litter box is on another floor and she has no problem reaching it when needed.) No other cats or dogs please. At her age, Lola just wants to enjoy the rest of her life in a comfortable, quiet home.

Meet Kiwi, Strawberry & Coconut!
Strawberry, Kiwi, and Coconut are a trio of adult button quail. These miniature birds make for fascinating pets. They can be kept indoors in an appropriately sized habitat. Since they are generally more terrestrial, they need space to walk and run around. They can fly a bit, but are not likely to use vertical space as much as other birds.
Their diet is similar to that of chickens, in that they need access to grit, a high quality bird diet, and enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables. They also like to take dust baths, which can be with the same dust sold for chinchillas in most pet stores.

Meet Pabu
Meet Pabu! This charming young coonhound is a ball of energy and love. He is a lanky teen with legs and ears that are too long for his own good. Because of his age and energy, we are looking for an experienced home that can provide lots of training and guidance. He knows all the basics and is very food motivated, but would benefit from further instruction. Please learn more about Hounds and their character traits to be sure Pabu is the best fit. He has a loud coonhound bark that he uses when he’s excited, whether that be from seeing other people, dogs, or who knows what.
Speaking of exciting things, he does well with other dogs and loves to meet and lick strangers. He loves to follow scent trails and would excel at nose work. We are hoping to find him a home with a yard, and with tolerant neighbors.
![](https://cdn.carrot.com/uploads/sites/38308/2021/02/Leon2.jpg)
Meet Leon!
Meet Leon a handsome Shepherd mix who is only 10 months old. Leon is young, energetic and willing to learn. He would love a backyard to play in and a family to play with. He can live with other dogs but is rather exuberant in his greeting. Leon loves playing with and chewing on toys and will amuse himself. This is a smart and engaging dog who will thrive in an active and consistent home environment.
