While this was our listing in Broadview and we represented the Seller, I love the sweet story of the Buyers and their connection to the neighborhood. However, this story actually starts back in July 2013, with other Buyers of one of our listings that was just around the corner from this home. I met Thomas and Tristie when they toured our listing at the open house. They are the type of people that I love meeting at open houses – fun, engaging and just all-around great people. Over the years we would run into each other in the neighborhood and chat about real estate and pets. A few years ago they had me over to see all of the updates that they had made to their home and to get my opinion of some other projects they were considering. They did most of the remodeling themselves and they did a great job! This was not the typical DIY work we sometimes see.
So back to our recent sale – Steve had been at the house checking on it and ran into Tristie and invited her in to see the place. She thought the home was perfect for their nephew and his wife. That weekend I showed the home to Megan, Taylor and Thomas. They were all excited about the potential. Because of Thomas’s experience remodeling, he could see past the projects and envision what the home could be. They all loved the idea of living super close to each other and Thomas was eager to dive in and help the young couple with the myriad of projects that would be forthcoming. It was really heartwarming to sit back and listen to the three of them discuss plans for the house and of course future family gatherings they could have once they were neighbors. Welcome to the neighborhood Meegan and Taylor – I can’t wait to see what you do with the home!
