π₯Itβs not a yolk β one of the best breakfast places in Ballard is The Egg & Us. We recently had a wonderful meal π³ at this Ballard institution, located just a couple blocks north of the Ship Canal on 14th Ave NW. They feature egg-ceptional specialties like Swedish pancakes π₯ and French toast. The menu ranges from everything egg to π hearty burgers, specialty π₯ͺ sandwiches, π₯ salads, egg-cetera. Sandra had an amazing veggie scramble, and Steve ordered the Swedish pancake with Lingenberry sauce plus scrambled eggs and bacon.
First inhabited by the Shilshole or βLake Peopleβ Ballard was homesteaded by Scandinavian immigrants beginning in 1852. Once a city in its own right, Ballard was annexed by Seattle in 1906. Today sightseers visit the Hiram Chittenden Locks on the Ship Canal to watch salmon begin their spawning journey or they tour historic Ballard Avenue. Ballard’s increasingly diverse residents enjoy the district’s small town pace and easy access to downtown.
We are both looking forward to our next outing there. If you havenβt tried them yet, we encourage you to check them out. They have a large and diverse menu which should tempt family members and friends of all ages. The staff is warm and friendly. They truly make you feel like family!
The Egg & Us is located at π4609 14th Ave NW Ste 108, Seattle, WA 98107. Open Monday through Sunday 7:00AM to 9:00PM, they have indoor and outdoor dining plus to-go and delivery. Visit https://theeggandus.com/locations/ballard to check out their tasty menu!

– Okay. Yeah.
