What We love about our home
Built in 1921 by a farmer, it’s a large old home, incredibly well-built and sturdy.
Graciousness! Coming in the front door feels airy and welcoming. The many windows, tall ceilings, clear fir picture molding, wide hallways, huge basement, large bedrooms and closets give this home a rare graciousness.
This home accommodated our ever-changing needs of shared bedrooms, a nursery, guest rooms and home offices.
Here are some of our favorite memories:
Hosting the annual neighborhood New Year’s celebration with some playing in the basement and the others enjoying champagne and potluck dinner. Everyone relaxing knowing they’d just walk home.
Sitting around the dining room table with our foreign exchange students sharing food and stories about their native countries.
Playing soccer in the side yard or trampolining in the back yard.
We had the comfort of knowing we could easily find just the right suitcase or the beach toys box on the expansive basement shelves.
