Casual Elegance

Located in the popular Northwoods development, this spacious home offers up casual elegance and a desirable floor plan.

Exceptional curb appeal, landscaped walkway and beautiful double doors welcome your guests with style.  Built by the developer for his family. The home has a unique blend of Northwest Contemporary lines with just a hint of 1940’s charm, which is evident in the curved staircase and tri-level design.

You will appreciate the open and spacious light-filled living room. Graced by warm hardwood floors, large picture window and anchored by a gas fireplace. This may soon be your favorite room in the house. Sit quietly and let the birds serenade you. It’s easy to picture yourself enjoying a peaceful moment with a good book and a glass of wine.

Chef’s of all levels will love the updated kitchen featuring a timeless design that will look great for years to come. The generous space also includes a breakfast nook and French doors to the private back deck and yard. Many warm summer evenings will be enjoyed relaxing or entertaining. There’s even a firepit!

One of the desirable features of tri-level homes is that the bedrooms are on their own floor. This gives a sense of privacy from the main living areas.  The bedroom wing features a spacious master bedroom with west facing views, lots of closet space and attached 3/4 bath.

The lower level features a spacious family room with attached 4th bedroom or den. The hobbyist in the home will smile with joy at the craft room. The 3/4 bath and laundry area complete the lower level.

The full home inspection report including sewer scope are all available on this website.

From the Sellers

What we Love about our home…

The street that we live on is beautiful!  There are no electrical lines strung across the street because they are buried.  It gives an exceptionally clean look that appeals to everyone!  We like living so close to Richmond Beach, it’s just about a five-minute drive to a very relaxing beach.

Also, the contractor who built all of the houses in this neighborhood in the early 1960’s, built our house for himself & his family.  A few of the neighbors are the original owners of their homes.

The first thing that we noticed the first time we looked at our home was the lovely songbirds. And we hear them nearly every day!    We loved the boulders which we slowly uncovered as we created the front yard removing about 20 tree stumps.   Eventually, we added walking paths that meander through the yard.  Little ones and their friends loved to play hide and seek because there are a surprising number of places to hide outside.

The most important thing to us is for our home to feel comfortable and welcoming for ourselves and our guests.  We’ve happily hosted many birthday and graduation parties and holidays with friends and those we love here. It’s pretty easy to have 30 or 40 people here and have it still feel comfortable.

Our home also has a lot of flexibility with 2 extra rooms to become whatever you and your family have for hobbies or interests.  The home office was initially a playroom, then a guest bedroom, then a bedroom for our exchange student and finally a home office.   The other flex room off the garage started out as a woodworking area, then a home office, then a music studio and now finally a yoga / fitness room.

It’s been a real treat having a dedicated craft room where we sewed, created art & did all sorts of fun projects.  We have used every inch of our home in one way or another!

Fun memories that I have are having the big front door where both sides open for our summer parties.  Then our daughters had friends over on the holidays to make cookies in the kitchen and decorate in the dining room.  We ALWAYS put up streamers in the dining room from the ceiling for any event

The neighbors are friendly and helpful and welcoming!  The neighborhood is changing with more young families moving in. We do have an annual Neighborhood night out potluck that’s really fun in August.  We block off the whole street and people sit and visit and catch up.  The little ones play tag and soccer.  The local police and fire department folks stop by and say hello.

We hope you will love our home and neighborhood as much as we have!
