The ever-popular Lake Forest Park Civic Club services the Lake Forest Park community. This club welcomes new members who own and reside in a single-family residence within the Lake Forest Park area. This popular club offers beach rights, club house, picnic shelter and boat launch.

The McKinnon Creek Trail is the City’s right of way used as a short pedestrian trail located in a forested area about half a mile northwest of City Hall. The trail begins at the end of NE 184th Street and concludes at the Lake Forest Park Water District fence. The trail follows McKinnon Creek, a tributary to Lyon Creek.

The Aqua Club is a private swim and tennis club located in the nearby town of Kenmore. Tennis courts are open year-round; the pool season is typically the end of May through the first week of September. The large clubhouse and deck area are available for event rentals by both members and non-members.

Log Boom Park is a 3.9-acre waterfront park that provides access to over 1200 lineal feet of shoreline on Kenmore’s Lake Washington waterfront. The public dock is a fantastic place to watch the seaplanes land, toss out a line for fishing or simply enjoy the sunset. Other features include the Kenmore History Path, playground area, picnic tables, access to the Burke-Gilman Trail, daytime moorage, and restroom facility. The park was renamed Tracy Owen Station after the late King County Councilmember, Tracy Owen. During the summer, enjoy the water by renting kayaks and stand-up paddleboards.

Nearly four acres of maintained meadow and tall, arching shade trees at Pfingst Animal Acres Park provide a lovely area for picnics or a nature walk. At the south edge of the park, McAleer Creek winds through a forested corridor with a good salmon viewing platform. This platform is used by local schools for annual salmon release events.

The Lyon Creek Waterfront Preserve is a .89 acre passive park located across from Lake Forest Park Town Center. It includes 100 feet of Lake Washington shoreline and 250 feet of Lyon Creek. Enjoy a quiet moment on the dock down by the lake, or take a few minutes to look for salmon swimming in Lyon Creek.

The popular Burke–Gilman trail begins at 11th Avenue NW in Ballard and follows along the Lake Washington Ship Canal and north along Lake Washington. At Blyth Park in Bothell the trail becomes the Sammamish River Trail and continues for 10 miles (16 km) to Marymoor Park, Redmond, on Lake Sammamish. [1] With the completion of a connector trail through Marymoor Park in May, 2009 the trail network continues to the city of Issaquah via the East Lake Sammamish Trail. With the addition of the connector, the longest unbroken segment of the trail currently extends 42 miles.[2] It runs 14.1 miles between Ballard and Tracy Owen Station (Log Boom Park) in Kenmore.
